T- MetalFX inaugurates web training

In March 2008, Leeds¬UK, Met-alFX Technology, a Ciba Spe-cialty Chemicals Corporation subsidiary inaugurated a web training program for graphic designers. The training, con-ducted by MetalFX technicians in both North America and Europe, is available at no charge to graphic designers who wish to learn how to use its popular metallic design software.

Discussing the new training program, MetalFX Vice¬Presi¬dent Americas Mark Geeves said: “Graphic designers benefit greatly from this specialized web training program, which includes development of actual files suitable for printing using the Met¬alFX process. These hands¬on sessions enable designers and printer prepress personnel to take full advantage of this power¬ful new metallic printing system. MetalFX, a recent Ciba Specialty Chemicals Corporation acqui¬sition, is a universal process and spot metallic colour system that allows millions of metallic colours to be printed, all by adding only the one base silver ink to the usual CMYK mix. Ciba Spe¬cialty brings more than 40 years of experience in colour match¬ing to the worldwide graphic arts, paints, plastics, fibres and ceramic industries.
