Hello,
Uflex, the Indian flexible packaging conglomerate announced its investment plans yesterday for a plant in the state of Kentucky, in the Southern United States. With plants in Dubai and Mexico already running, the company is emerging as a global player. Carlsberg's success in India and its future plans of doubling growth are reflected in a rebranding and repositioning as well as new packaging design.
No news to most, the events calendar is busy and bustling. Next is interpack from 12 to 18 May. Our preview coverage continues and of course, PSA will be there in force. Bizerba labelling systems, Vishakha Polyfab are gearing up for the show, and Bosch is also showing its intelligent transport system.
A meeting hosted by the European Metal packaging Association at the metal packaging plaza at interpack is a new aspect of the show. The interpack section on our website is updated everyday. However, before interpack is over, Chinaplas is on — from 14 to 17 May. Then there is the Sustainable Food Summit from 22 to 24 June in Amsterdam.
