Greetings from Packaging South Asia!

Last week most of our editorial team was in Hyderabad to cover the PackPlus South 2011 which turned out better than expected for the organisers and exhibitors with more than 8,500 unique visitors (PSA's count) — even 6,000 visitors at a similar event is an excellent turnout. Many of the exhibitors like Crystal Digital, Unique Equipments amongst others sold machines directly at the event.

In this newsletter, we have covered the recently concluded PackPlus South 2011 in some detail. Sashi Nair has written about Sai Packaging, Ecobliss and Unique Equipments, while Supreeth has reported on Weldon Celloplast, and the collaboration between ATE and Plast Control. I have summed up the papers presented at the second day of the two-day PackAge conference, that was held along with the main event.
