The classic Heinz baked beans pack can has been something of a packaging icon. The can has been the format used since 1901. For the first time, Heinz have launched baked beans in the UK in multi-layer thermoformed plastic 200 gms. portion packs using a PP/EVOH/PP structure. Four pots are integrated into a multipack that is meant to cater to the requirements of single households and disposable on-the-go eating. The packs can be stored at ambient temperatures and deliver taste and freshness equivalent to the conventional cans.
