Well-known UK juice brand Innocent became the world's first company to use a 100 per cent recycled PET beverage bottle for its juice blends in September 2007.Buoyed by the success and positive response to this, they have now expanded its use to their entire range of fruit smoothies. To celebrate this launch, they are releasing a limited edition label that will be on retail shelves in the UK during the second fortnight of February 2008. Their logo on this label will prominently feature the well-known recycling symbol in green.
The new bottles use no virgin PET resin whatsoever and are 20 per cent lighter than their older versions, thus reducing the company's carbon footprint for packaging by 55 per cent. They are fully recyclable as well. |
