According to a new report by the Applied Market Information on the changes that are taking place in the structure of the plastic packaging industry, the industry has recovered from recession and is accelerating towards mergers and acquisitions. The major change that has taken place in recent years is the acquisition of Amcor with the Alcan’s flexible packaging business which leads to more focus on consumer flexible packaging sector in Europe.
