FA: Why are there so few seamless tube players in the market. Is it because the products need to be high end products and the Indian market is not yet ready?-- AN: No, the market in terms of cosmetics is already well developed. In laminated tubes, the initial investment is low, because of the Chinese machines. In the seamless tube segment, the entry level is Taiwanese, and then the European machine manufacturers are there and they are quite expensive. The European manufacturers specialise in niche segments. They will supply high speed and specialised machines for only one operation like extrusion, heading, and printing among other operations. In the case of the Taiwanese, you can have all the operations in one line provided by the same manufacturer. ...cont´d
