The top management of Bosch India and Bosch Packaging Technology shared their plans with the press for building a new manufacturing plant on a 33,000 square metre plot in the Verna industrial estate near the company’s existing plant and about a half an hour's drive from the international airport in South Goa. Naresh Khanna reports on his visit to the plant.

October 8, 2010 Goa. At the press conference preceding a visit to the Bosch Packaging Technology India plant in Verna, VK Vishwanathan, managing director of Bosch India spoke about the wide range of activities of the company in India where it is perhaps best known for its automotive components. Vishwanathan said, “The investment of Rs 250 million in the plant and machinery will further strengthen our future plans and leadership position in the all the three business verticals, viz, pharma, confectionary, and packaging machines. We aim to have a fully functional plant by the end of 2012.” ...cont´d
