In spite of reported high growth, how bankable is the South Asian packaging industry?

Around the world, it is said that the packaging industry continues to grow and has to some extent escaped the economic crunches and downturns of the past four years. It is also said and widely believed that the Asian economies and hence the consumer product industry in the emerging economies here has been driving packaging growth in double digits. What is the future for the organised packaging players who have invested in new plants and machinery? Can they expect continued growth and can they find the investment needed to grow to a sufficient size that will eventually attract investors and ultimately the public that will buy their Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) in the share market? ...cont´d
