According to the organisers of the India Packaging Show, the Indian Packaging Industry has tremendous potential as the per capita consumption of packaging in India amounts to only US$ 15; the global average being US$ 100. Consumption is being boosted by the increasing demand for food, beverages and everyday consumer goods. South India as a region has seen high growth of major manufacturing industry and exports over the last 20 years. The special edition of India Packaging Show 2010, scheduled from 9 to 12 April 2010 at HITEX, Hyderabad, decides to explore rising prospects of this region.
