In its overall strengthening in the Indian (and South Asian) market Kodak is getting its act together in Mumbai. Significantly, Kodak Graphic Communications Group’s India cluster has appointed Suhas Kulkarni as its National Business Manager for the Packaging Segment. This could be the first interesting challenge that EskoArtwork have faced in this market, writes Naresh Khanna.

Packaging software has generally been seen as a high-end application that is driven largely by the process used for printing: flexible letterpress, offset, gravure, and in the last twenty years, also by flexography. Before PostScript and before full digital workflows you had dedicated systems that would ready files for film ouput and in the case of gravure, communicate to another high end workstation that would drive an electromechanical engraver. ...cont´d
