The ISO 12647 summit organised by IppStar started off in Delhi on the morning of 14 July 2009 at the Taj Ambassador Hotel. The Monsoon Summit will now move on to Mumbai on Thursday 16 July and then to Chennai on Saturday 18 July.

The Monsoon Summit in Delhi attracted most of the quality printers of Delhi who showed great interest in the standardisation and certification process and the overall movement for achieving quality in printing. Apart from presentations from experts that set out the ISO set of process standards there were two panel discussions. These discussions demonstrated that process standardisation is seen as essential and desirable, and secondly that it is already being implemented by large multi-locational businesses such as Thomson Press. A young panellist Nikhil Mittal said that the investment in this process was trivial compared to the cost of new presses. He said that a chief benefit is to be “able to sleep at night without the fear of facing unknown results of the night shift in the morning.” ...cont´d
