OYSTAR Hassia India in Pune -- New construction to more than double capacity

Hassia Packaging Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Germany based OYSTAR Group in India, is expanding its infrastructure and built-up space at its present business location about an hours drive out of Pune. In early July Naresh Khanna went and had a look.

The foundation stone for construction of the new building was laid on 1 June 2010, with the actual move planned for 2011. In effect, OYSTAR will more than double its space for both management and manufacturing activities in India to 4,033 square metres. “With this increase in capacity we will enhance our manufacturing expertise in India,” explains Christian Korte, President of the dairy business unit at OYSTAR. “In doing so we are also ensuring further successful growth in the Asian markets.”
