Rexam and Hindustan Tin Works to invest Rs 220 crore in beverage can market in India

3 August 2011: Rexam and Hindustan Tin Works announced that HTW is building a new high speed beverage can manufacturing line at its current site in Taloja close to Mumbai. The new line represents a capital investment of Rs 220 crore (£30million) over two years. It will initially produce 33 and 50 cubic litres cans, and then slim cans, increasing total capacity from the current 300 million cans per year to 850 million cans per year.
