SOMA announces Middle East cooperation with Heidelberg

In January 2010, in a move to expand its operating activities in the region, SOMA Engineering named Heidelberg ME as partner for the sales of its range of printing and converting machines in the Middle East. Heidelberg India has had a similar relationship with Soma over the past several years for this market.

“This cooperation will strengthen our position in the Middle East and provide us with an increased cultural understanding of a growing market recognised for its investment power,” said marketing director of Soma Petr Blasko. “We are extremely pleased to have made this strategic agreement with Heidelberg ME and look forward to a long and successful business partnership.”

Located in Lanskroun, Czech Republic, SOMA Engineering designs and manufactures high quality printing and converting machines for a wide variety of industries. Its portfolio encompasses CI flexographic presses, slitter/rewinders, laminators, mounter-proofers, sheeters, die cutters and special purpose machines. The company serves an international market with representation and distribution channels throughout the world.
