The Indian packaging industry continues to grow although there has been some cost and delays in opening of Letter of Credit. The flexible industry seems to be recovering from the high price of oil and is poised to continue its expansion to become the lowest cost produce of high quality films in the world. IDMC (Indian Dairy Milk Cooperative) which installed a W&H blown film line and Primaflex CI press just a couple of years ago in their packaging plant has now gone in for a Uteco wide web flexo from Italy. However, they have gone in for another W&H Varex blown film line. However as our readers are well aware, Uflex has purchased a W&H Miraflex for use with an EB curing. We have also heard that Uflex has purchased a Rotomec in the 4000 series. Tuflex at Palej in Gujarat has also installed RS 4003 Rotomec and a Titan SR8 slitter and rewinder. ...cont´d
