Sustainable packaging design advice from Envirowise

DesignBox, is an online forum for anyone interested in saving money and the environment through sustainable design. As well as a discussion forum, users can share best practice and ask Envirowise experts for tips and advice. The forum will host monthly sessions with keynote speakers, who are industry experts from the world of design. During these sessions, forum members will be able to submit questions live via an instant-messaging style interface. These sessions will be held every first Thursday of the month at 10.00 GMT.

The first live session was held on Thursday 4 June 2009, which was a resounding success full of questions and debate for 2 hours. Visit DesignBox to see some key issues raised. Since then several more sessions have taken place and the next live sessions are on Thursday 4 March 2010; Thursday 3 September 2010; and, Thursday 5 November 2010. All sessions commence at 10.00 hours GMT which 13:30 Indian Standard Time. The site’s address is www.envirowise.gov.uk/designbox.

The DesignBox forum has been designed to meet the latest accessibility and industry standards. Users will be able to chat in a secure area about eco-design challenges, vote on key issues and meet virtually with others who share an interest in improving resource efficiency.
