We are fortunate in the lean season both for rain and sponsors to get three sponsors. Actually in case you haven’t noticed the rains have also arrived. Although we expected support from the heavy metal companies, they seem to be the hardest hit by the economic downturn and the global financial crisis or perhaps by confusion about the future! We are heartened by Canon’s support to the ISO event – this digital press manufacturer also supported the IPP XI Conference in Mumbai in December 2007. It seems that Canon is walking its talk about the print community just as it did last year when it made its Insight Report on the print industry public. The Insight Report done by RIT spoke eloquently about the industry’s future training needs.
