Welcome to the weekly Packaging South Asia newsletter!
December is going to be a busy month for packaging and printing industry. With a series of exhibitions such as Paperex 2011, Printex 2011 and India Packaging Show in line, the India Converting Show started on 23 November at Bombay Exhibition Center, Goregaon, Mumbai. PSA met W&H’s Rakesh Shah who emphasized the importance of such exhibitions.
In other stories of this newsletter we have a new doctor blade for narrow web water and UV flexo by Tresu and Loparex’s new facility for siliconised paper and polymer films. Packaging has established itself as a fast pace industry with equally and steadily growing companies such as Theegarten-Pactec and Pitney Bowes, and with more printers such as Ratna Offset diversifying to packaging. In another move towards upgradation and technological advancement, Reproservice Eurodigital, Munich has installed the first Kodak Flexcel NX wide system while Webtech in Mumbai recently invested in three Prati Sun TE330 slitter inspection rewinders, equipped with AVT camera systems.
